Description
Limerick native Kevin Quaid was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2017 aged 53. After his diagnosis Kevin realised there was a lack of information about his form of dementia. He wanted to raise awareness of what it’s like to live with Lewy Body Dementia and wrote a book in 2018: ‘Lewy Body Dementia, Survival and Me’. More recently, in 2021, Kevin published a book called “I AM Kevin NOT Lewy”. It’s a book of hope for everyone who has received a diagnosis of a disease that’s both progressive and incurable. Since Kevin received his diagnosis, he has dedicated his life to working as an advocate.
