Description
As part of our Dementia Action Week campaign, we ran a pilot project to create informational materials for the Punjabi speak community. This group was chosen as research suggests people from South Asian communities are more likely to develop dementia than the general UK population. We chose Punjabi because it is the third most spoken language in the UK and therefore a powerful way to reach more people. The initiative looked to create bespoke informational content on dementia that better represented the Punjabi community and also specifically addressed cultural perceptions and stigma around dementia.
