Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard's dementia support service (United Kingdom)

Description

Dementia Support is for LGBTQ people living with or affected by dementia or concerned about memory loss.

They received the second prize in 2023 and currently offer the following programmes:

  • Brighton Dementia Support Group

    Group peer support is held in person at Tower House, 265-267 Tower Gate, London Road, Brighton, BN1 6WT, on the last Wednesday of every month from 2pm to 3.30pm. For the latest event updates, see our events calendar.

  • Worthing Dementia Support Group

    Monthly peer support sessions in Worthing Dementia Hub on the first Wednesday of each month from 10:30am – 12:30pm.  For the latest event updates, see our events calendar.

  • LGBTQ+ Carers Meetup

    Online meetups over Zoom for LGBTQ+ carers of people living with dementia, on the third Tuesday of each month from 2pm – 3pm. Please contact jack.mason@switchboard.org.uk to register.  For the latest event updates, see our events calendar.

  • One-to-one support in person, by phone, or online

  • Training, advice, and information on LGBTQ dementia for individuals, care givers, and organisations.
