Julius D. Popp is a psychiatrist and professor for geriatric psychiatry. He is the head of the Centre for Cognitive Disorders and Alzheimer’s disease at the Hirslanden Hospital Zürich and the head of the research group Biomarkers and Neuropsychiatry at the University of Zürich. He is PI or contributes to national and international studies on diagnosis and treatment of dementia. He is board member of Swiss Memory Clinics and has coordinated the publication of consensus recommendations for the diagnosis of cognitive disorders in Switzerland, in particular focussing on the use of biomarkers.
