On 2 April 2019, Tilly Metz MEP (Greens/EFA, Luxembourg) joined the European Alzheimer’s Alliance.
In the run-up to the European Parliament elections in May 2019, Ms Metz signed Alzheimer Europe's European Dementia Pledge, affirming her commitment to make dementia a European priority and continuing as a member of the EAA. She again signed the pledge before the 2024 European Parliament elections and became a co-chair of the EAA in September 2024.
