International Psychogeriatric Association

The International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) and Alzheimer Europe have a Memorandum of Understanding.

The IPA (https://www.ipa-online.org/) is focusing on raising awareness around the impact of ageism on health outcomes and to support the protection of human rights of older persons with mental health conditions.

The areas of collaboration include:

• Information sharing and joint meetings
• Collaboration on Annual Conference
• Collaboration on research, policy, projects and publication

Alzheimer Europe is also an official endorser of IPA's Older Adult Mental Health Awareness Week: https://awarenessweek.ipa-online.org/

Kate Boor Ellis collaborates with IPA, focusing on bilateral communication support.

Jean Georges coordinates all other areas of the collaboration.
