Sean Connery dies with dementia

Celebrated Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery died at the age of 90, with dementia. He was best known for his portrayal of James Bond, being the first to bring the role to life and appearing in seven Bond movies in total. He also won an Oscar in 1988 for his role in The Untouchables.

He passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his wife Micheline Roquebrune at his side, at the couple’s home in the Bahamas, where they had lived since the 1990s. Mr Connery’s family said that he had been unwell for some time and had developed dementia in his final months. He leaves behind his wife Micheline and sons Jason and Stephane.
