Edyta Ekwinska, PhD is a psychologist and holds a PhD in Health Sciences. She is a Vice-President of Alzheimer Polska, the national umbrella organisation representing Alzheimer associations in Poland. For more than 20 years, she has been the director of two day care centres providing specialised support for people living with dementia. Her professional and research work focuses on improving care, support services, and quality of life for people living with dementia and their family carers in Poland. Dr. Ekwinska collaborates closely with the Polish Ministry of Health, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, and the Office of the Patient Ombudsman on issues related to dementia care and public policy. At the European level, she is a member of The Council of Administration (CA) of AGE Platform Europe, the largest network representing older people's organisations in Europe.

Edyta Ekwinska was elected to the Alzheimer Europe Board in June 2026.
