Alzheimer Europe Is looking to immediately fill the following Luxembourg-based position:
•    Finance Officer (m/f/x) (full time, permanent)

The work address is in Senningerberg, Luxembourg and flexible working hours and teleworking will be offered. as per teleworking policy and law, occasional telework should not exceed 10%.

1 Finance Officer (m/f/x) (Full time)
On a permanent basis

As the Finance Officer, you will:
•    Deal with daily book keeping and monthly closing, invoicing and cost accounting using the organisation’s accounting software Sage BOB , and prepare online payment orders for signature by Executive Director, Chairperson and Honorary Treasurer.
•    Monitor the organisation’s finances and project budgets and prepare financial reports and quarterly forecasts for the Board of Directors.
•    Draft the annual financial statements of Alzheimer Europe a.s.b.l. and Alzheimer Europe Foundation for approval by the Board of Directors and ensure external audit by the association’s “Réviseur d’entreprises agréé”.
•    Prepare annual budget of organisation for approval by Annual Meeting and Board of Directors in collaboration with Executive Director.
•    Keep association and foundation profiles on “Registre du Commerce” and “Registre des bénéficiaires effectifs” up-to-date.
•    Liaise with Payroll provider regarding salary related tasks.
•    Deal with “Know your customer” procedures for banks, sponsors and suppliers.
•    Organise comparative quotes for future Annual Conferences in collaboration with Conference Coordinator
•    Liaise with sponsors of Alzheimer Europe’s activities and Annual Conference.
•    Deal with conference registrations and financial questions from conference participants and sponsors.
•    Prepare budgets and develop financial reports for European research projects in collaboration with Research and Public Involvement Teams.
You should have the following experience and qualities:
•    Completed university education in accounting, financial management or fundraising and/or significant experience in a similar position.
•    Perfect knowledge of English AND French (additional languages would be considered a plus)
•    Excellent accounting skills
•    Good knowledge of accounting software Sage BOB and other computer programmes (Excel)
•    A keen sense of responsibility and initiative.
•    Ability to work closely with colleagues across various teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
•    Experience of accounting in the non-profit field will be considered a strong advantage.
