The aim of the three-year TIMING project, which came to a close at the end of 2024, was to improve timely diagnosis of dementia in people from minority ethnic groups by identifying enduring challenges in clinical practice for dementia diagnostics in these populations in European memory clinics and validating novel culturally-sensitive case-finding tools for dementia. Results of the study have been published in a paper published in the International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and co-authored by Alzheimer Europe Director for Public Involvement and Ethics, Dianne Gove. The project lead was T. Rune Nielsen, who has written an article about TIMING for our upcoming edition of “Dementia in Europe” magazine, out at the end of February, so watch this space! You can find the paper, here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/gps.70034
