On 30 January, the members of the European Working Group of People with Dementia attended an online consultation organised in the context of the EPND project. The consultation was facilitated by Dianne Gove (Director for Projects), Ana Diaz (Project Officer) and Daphné Lamirel (Project Officer). Cindy Birck (Project Officer) also joined the meeting to provide some technical support. The discussions were split into smaller groups and revolved around the concept of reciprocity in public involvement and other research activities. Participants also provided their views on and experiences of the barriers and facilitators to participating in public involvement activities and other research activities (e.g. a clinical trial) for people with dementia. All participants provided very insightful contributions to the discussions – this input will be used to develop guidelines for researchers in the EPND project.
