An online meeting was held on 12 June to give the new and current members of the European Working Group of People with Dementia (EWGPWD) the chance to meet each other. Three of the new members - Jost Hamschmidt (Switzerland), Phillip Angrave (England, UK) and Hafsteinn Ágúst Friðfinnsson (Iceland) - were warmly welcomed to the group and had the chance to introduce themselves, ask questions about the group, get to know the other members and find out from them what it is like to be part of the EWGPWD. Two other new members - Stuart Dougall (Scotland, UK) and Katya Genadieva (Bulgaria) – were unable to join the meeting but will be welcomed to the group at the next meeting at the beginning of July when the new Chair and Vice Chair will be elected. Alzheimer Europe would like to express its gratitude to outgoing members Chris Roberts (UK) and Margaret McCallion (Scotland, UK) for their important contributions and work over the past years. They will be missed!
