Claudine Snape is the new CEO of Dementia Jersey, since 10 May 2021. Ms Snape, who was born in Jersey and has a number of years of experience working for major charities in the United Kingdom, joins Dementia Jersey from The National Deaf Children’s Society, where she was Director of Communications. She built her career in the charity sector in London working for major charities, including Cancer Research UK and now takes over from Sean Pontin, who has taken the role of CEO of disability charity Enable.
Dementia Jersey Chairman, Chris Renouf, said: “We’re delighted that Claudine is joining us. She brings a wealth of charity sector knowledge with a focus on fundraising and marketing. She’ll be a big help to build on our recent name change and boost our profile and income in order to support more people with dementia”. Claudine Snape said: “I’m excited to be coming back to the Island after 20 years to take on this important role. It’s one close to my heart as my grandmother had vascular dementia and my best friend’s dad has Alzheimer’s. "Dementia Jersey plays a key role in supporting the quality of life and dignity of people with dementia in the local community and I hope to be able to extend their reach and impact."
