On 9 December, Alzheimer Europe (AE) hosted an online Company Round Table meeting. It was attended by representatives from Biogen, Eisai, EFPIA, Essity, GE Healthcare, Janssen, Lilly, Nutricia, Roche and TauRx. Jean Georges, the AE Executive Director, updated the organisation’s sponsors on its 2020 activities with a particular focus on the activities that were sponsored by the companies and sponsors. Delegates were provided with an update of the COVID-19 impact, the AE position papers, the online conference, the policy report “Dementia a European priority”, the AE Public Affairs meetings and the Alzheimer’s Association Academy, which brought together the member organisations with capacity building workshops. Attendees also discussed the involvement of AE in EU projects and other corporate affairs activities including the Clinical Trial Watch, the lunch debates, the Dementia in Europe Magazine and the European Dementia Monitor. It was also an opportunity to highlight Alzheimer Europe’s planned activities and sponsorship opportunities for 2021.
