Alzheimer Europe Board meets in Luxembourg

24/03/2025

The Alzheimer Europe Board held a meeting on 24 and 25 March 2025. The meeting took place at the organisation’s offices in Luxembourg and was chaired by Maria do Rosário Zincke dos Reis, Chairperson of Alzheimer Europe (pictured). On 24 March, Angela Bradshaw, Director for Research, Dianne Gove, Director for Public Involvement and Ethics and Ana Diaz, Public Involvement Lead, were in attendance to provide the Board of Directors with some updates on a number of EU Project Applications involving Alzheimer Europe as a partner. Jean Georges, Executive Director, presented the organisation’s 2024 Annual Report.

It was approved and is scheduled for publication at end of June 2025. He then shared some financial forecasts for the current year and updated the Board on several important activities taking place in 2025, including the Anti-Stigma Award (to be launched in June 2025), the 35th Alzheimer Europe Conference (taking place in Bologna, Italy, from 6 to 8 October) and planned work with the European Medicines Agency. The agenda for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (taking place in Brussels on 4 June) was also discussed and adopted. On 25 March, Jean Georges kicked off the meeting with a presentation about the new Strategic Plan (2026-2030) of Alzheimer Europe and then gave the floor to colleagues from the Research team and the Public Involvement team, to share updates on current EU-funded projects in which the organisation is involved. The next Board meeting will take place online on 12 May.
