Alzheimer Europe Board meets in Brussels

The final Alzheimer Europe Board Meeting for 2025 took place in Brussels on 1 December. Jean Georges, Executive Director, Angela Bradshaw, Director for Research, Dianne Gove, Director for Public Involvement and Ethics, and Ana Diaz, Public Involvement Lead, were in attendance to provide updates on meetings and projects that their teams are working on, and outcomes from the 35th Alzheimer Europe Conference in Bologna. The Board also reviewed progress on the previous Gender Equality Plan and adopted a new one for the next two years. The updated 2025 edition of our report estimating the prevalence of dementia in Europe, due for publication in January 2026, was also discussed, as was the Dementia in Europe Yearbook 2025 on the topic of transport and access to cultural life, recreation, leisure, and sport. The Board then reviewed finances for 2025 and 2026, discussed next year’s Annual Conference which will take place in Dublin (Ireland), and talked about matters related to membership applications. The next meeting of the Alzheimer Europe Board is scheduled for 23 February 2026.
