Alzheimer Europe’s Research Insights is public webinar series focused on new developments and topics in research.
Our first Research Insights session took place on 22 April from 14.00 to 16.00 CET and addressed the what, why and how of data sharing in dementia research, illustrating practical approaches, platforms and use cases, alongside perspectives from lived experience. Overall, data sharing makes better use of existing datasets, supports collaboration across disciplines and countries, and speeds up progress in dementia research - but it also raises challenges linked to data protection, technical barriers and differences in how data are managed.
