Results of the "individualised Meeting Centres Support Programme" (iMCSP) are published

A few years ago, the Amsterdam University Medical Center, Location VUmc started research into the linking and impact of three innovative individualised interventions for people with dementia and their carers to existing meeting centres for this target group. The programme was called the individualised Meeting Centres Support Programme (iMCSP) and the three interventions are:

  1. DemenTalent (volunteer work for people with dementia)

  2. Dementelcoach (telephone coaching for informal carers)

  3. STAR online course for informal carers.

A scientific article on the results of this research project has now been published, as well as a brochure with the summary of the results. The new individualised programme proved an effective and cost-effective alternative to the group-oriented programme, especially for people with dementia and carers who prefer individualised support.
