On 6-7 March, the PANEUCARE expert group gathered in Berlin (Germany). The meeting was hosted by the Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE) at the offices of the Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft, and was attended by Soraya Moradi-Bachiller, Public Involvement Officer at Alzheimer Europe alongside 21 experts from 18 different European countries and Canada. René Thyrian, research lead at the DZNE and Board member at Alzheimer Europe, welcomed all the participants and paved the way for two days of informative and fruitful discussions. During the two-day meeting, the consortium worked on recommendations for future healthcare research with a focus on south-eastern and eastern European countries. PANEUCARE is an international EU Joint Programme - Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) expert group of scientists in the field of dementia care research with a focus on multidirectional knowledge transfer.
