New multilingual learning platform "ACCESS Dementia" launched

27/02/2023

The new platform ACCESS Dementia (Advancing Competence, Care and Expanding SkillS) has been designed for people with dementia, their relatives and carers as well as for all professionals in the health and social fields to expand competencies and know-how in dementia care, increase collaborative skills and encourage networking and promote entrepreneurial innovation in dementia services. ACCESS is a follow-up to the INDEED project and is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection. Prof. Alexander Kurz, a former Board member of Alzheimer Europe and keynote speaker at the 32nd Alzheimer Europe Conference in Bucharest, who recently passed away unexpectedly, was one of the platform's creators. The new website provides multilingual learning materials on dementia, freely available in English, Bulgarian, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian and German: https://www.access-dementia.eu/
