A book on "Down Syndrome and Dementia" - the first in a 'sharing good practice' series, by Bob Dawson - has been published by The Choir Press. It is primarily aimed at family members, health and social care professionals, and students.
The publication aims to identify the main issues affecting individuals with Down Syndrome who develop dementia. It is an awareness-raising book aimed at stimulating discussions that will hopefully encourage the reader to find out more, using the websites provided. It takes the form of questions and answers, with all the questions raised being actual questions from training courses run by the author. Bob Dawson has worked in health and social care for over 40 years.
