On 4 June 2025, the Urge to Act campaign launched the MEP Interest Group on Continence Health during a breakfast meeting at the European Parliament in Brussels. The purpose of the group is to support and empower people affected by continence health problems across the EU; women, children, men, the elderly, people coping with other health conditions and their carers. The Interest Group promotes a society where continence health problems can be openly talked about and where people can have the right access to preventative measures and care when needed. The meeting was hosted by Maria Walsh MEP, who is also the Chair of this Interest Group. Alzheimer Europe was represented at the meeting by Dianne Gove, Director for Public Involvement and Ethics, who presented Alzheimer Europe’s report and guidelines on continence care.
