This narrative review, authored by Khaled Abdel-sater, synthesises contemporary evidence positing that sleep disruptions propel Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis by impairing glymphatic clearance and promoting neuroinflammation, thereby presenting viable targets for early intervention. Understanding these mechanisms may open avenues for early interventions focusing on sleep to reduce AD risk.
