The mission of Alzheimer’s Care Armenia is to raise awareness and offer solutions for the care and treatment of people with Alzheimer’s disease in Armenia. The organisation launched its Brain Health Armenia project in June, with a grant from the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative, the organisation leading an unprecedented global response to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s Care Armenia is very excited to announce that, during August, healthcare professionals working on this new project conducted early detection memory screening with several hundred people. As the leader in improving care services for people with Alzheimer’s disease in Armenia, the organisation’s team provided a “Dementia 101” course for primary care physicians and nurses. A few dozen family members of people with dementia also attended the trainings for caregivers. Thanks to its collaborators in Armenia and all over the world, Alzheimer’s Care Armenia has an opportunity to extend its impact, by sharing best practices to improve awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
