American-Armenian gerontologist and founder of Alzheimer's Care Armenia, Dr Jane Mahakian has been awarded the 2024 Armenian American Medical Society (AAMS) President's Leadership Award. This prestigious recognition is a testament to her unwavering dedication and commitment to advancing healthcare in Armenia. Dr Mahakian has been at the forefront of developing groundbreaking Alzheimer's disease programmes and services in Armenia and has made significant contributions to the field. Her hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, as she was also awarded the City of Glendale Mayor's Commendation and Certificate of Recognition from the California State Senate.
