AD-RIDDLE launches its Academia platform to empower the next generation of Alzheimer’s researchers

07/09/2026

The AD-RIDDLE project has launched AD-RIDDLE Academia, a collaborative academic platform to support and empower early career researchers by fostering a culture of research excellence, innovation, mentorship and peer learning.
The initiative aims to support early-career researchers through mentorship, networking, training and collaborative research opportunities, helping them strengthen their skills, expand their networks and contribute to advances in Alzheimer’s research.
The Academia will organise webinars on topics relevant to research and career development, as well as regular journal clubs to encourage scientific discussion and the exchange of knowledge. It will also facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and study visits, support members in presenting their work at conferences and contributing to scientific publications, and establish a mentorship programme connecting early-career researchers with experienced members of the research community.
This launch comes as part of World Alzheimer’s Month, which takes place every September and provides an opportunity to raise awareness and highlight the importance of dementia research and innovation. Throughout September, AD-RIDDLE will share a series of video interviews featuring members of the project and their experiences, perspectives and contributions to Alzheimer’s research. Among those featured in the series will be an AD-RIDDLE early-career researcher who is also a member of the Academia.
Through AD-RIDDLE Academia, the project is investing in the next generation of Alzheimer’s researchers while strengthening the collaboration and knowledge exchange needed to advance research into the prevention, detection, diagnosis and care of Alzheimer’s disease.
