Prof. Dr. Rejko Krüger is a prominent neurologist in Luxembourg, recognized for his expertise in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's disease. He holds the position of Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Luxembourg and serves as the Director of Transversal Translational Medicine at the Luxembourg Institute of Health. With over 25 years of clinical and research experience, Dr. Krüger has a strong focus on the genetics of neurodegenerative diseases, which has led to the publication of more than 320 scientific papers, accumulating over 41,000 citations and an h-index of 73. Dr. Krüger coordinates the National Centre for Excellence in Research on Parkinson’s disease (NCER-PD) initially funded by the FNR. As senior consultant in Neurology he treats patients with movement disorders at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. Since 2017, he has been leading integrated healthcare initiatives in Luxembourg, supported by the Ministry of Health, including the "Programme Démence Prévention," aimed at preventing dementia, and ParkinsonNet Luxembourg, a specialized care network for Parkinson's disease.
