Martina Roes is a nurse and sociologist. She leads two research groups at the German Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE), Witten site and is a Professor of Nursing Science and Health Care Research at the University of Witten/Herdecke.)
In our research group Person-Centered Dementia Care (PCDC) we focus primarily on preferences of people living with dementia and health care service provision for people with rare dementias. We aim specifically to address inequity/inequality and unmet needs of underrepresented people in dementia care and research. In our research group Implementation Science (ImSc) focuses on strategies, that are essential to develop successful implementation processes and evaluating implementation approaches in terms of sustainably. We aim specifically to bridge the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical applications. In both research groups we apply participatory research approaches.
