On 1 September 2026, Alzheimer Europe (AE) was pleased to welcome corporate sponsors, member associations and AE staff to a Company Round Table meeting in Brussels (Belgium). The meeting was chaired by Maria do Rosário Zincke dos Reis, Chairperson of AE and attended by 15 different companies, 32 representatives from AE’s member associations and 7 AE staff members.
Cindy Birck, Research Lead, presented some recent clinical trial developments and gave an update on our Clinical Trials Watch service. She was followed by Angela Bradshaw, Deputy Executive Director, who discussed our position on access to anti-amyloid therapies in Europe. Up next was a presentation on “Integrating Person-Centred Principles into the Evolving Dementia Diagnostic Pathway - Findings of the Shift Health survey” presented by Ryan Wiley (President, Shift Health).
Following a short break, Executive Director Jean Georges presented AE’s 2027 Corporate Activities and Sponsorship Opportunities, and handed over to the final presenter, Hugh Nicholl (Senior Associate, Charles River Associates), who explored some of the key recommendations of the Charles River Associates report “Assessing the economic case for Alzheimer’s disease policy prioritisation in Europe”.
Jean Georges closed out the meeting, sharing some updates on AE’s Annual Conference and other activities, meetings and projects in 2026, as well as reminding those present about the next corporate affairs meeting, which will take place online, on 2 December.
