Info-Zenter Demenz launches “VergiessMechNet” – The Luxembourg edition of a “forget me not” campaign to raise awareness and shine a positive light on dementia

20/06/2025

Like existing initiatives throughout the world, the Info Zenter Demenz in Luxembourg has launched “VergiessMechNet”, a fresh awareness campaign aimed at reframing public perceptions of dementia and encouraging people with dementia. The heart of the campaign centres on positivity, dignity, and empathy — encouraging society not to forget those confronting memory challenges.

The campaign features three interconnected components:

1. A website (www.vergiessmechnet.lu) and newsletter including uplifting stories, information on upcoming national events, tips for maintaining connection and insights from experts in German and French. To subscribe send an email to info@demenz.lu

2. Instagram presence Info Zenter Demenz’s new Instagram channel brings the campaign to life through visuals, personal stories, and practical suggestions. Follow and engage with the community here: https://www.instagram.com/infozenter_demenz/

3. Stickers Beautifully designed stickers featuring the forget me not flower are available free of charge at the Info Zenter Demenz office (www.demenz.lu). These serve both as a sign of solidarity and conversation starters to challenge the stigma surrounding dementia.

Residents of Luxembourg and abroad are warmly invited to subscribe to the newsletter, follow the campaign on Instagram, and collect a sticker to show solidarity and help amplify a positive vision of living with dementia. For further information and feedback, contact info@demenz.lu
