EIT Health and Biogen launch ‘neurotechprize’

15/11/2021

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT Health) and Biogen have launched the ‘neurotechprize’, a programme which aims to identify technological solutions for the challenges presented by Alzheimer’s disease. The call is looking for teams with potential solutions across four intervention areas:

  • Accelerating the diagnostic pathway

  • Improving disease monitoring

  • Easing burden on patients

  • Maintaining quality of life.

  • Participants will work with experts to receive mentoring and funding to realise the development of new products and services.

Over a period of 10 weeks, teams will undergo an intense mentoring and validation process facilitated by EIT Health and Biogen experts. Following the work, teams will pitch their idea to an independent panel of experts, consisting of leading neurologists, patient representatives and payers who will award EUR 100,000 and EUR 50,000 prizes to the two best solutions. More information about ‘neurotechprize’ and applications can be found at: eithealth.eu/project/neurotech-prize
