In the autumn session of 2021, the National Council (lower house of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland) largely accepted, with 136 votes to 46, a motion to improve health insurance coverage for dementia care. The aim would be to cover necessary services for these patients, such as support during meals. Alzheimer Switzerland will work to ensure that this legislative change is also accepted by the Council of States next year.
