On 15 September 2026, the exhibition "It’s Still Me – Living with Alzheimer’s Disease," prepared by Alzheimer Poland, opened in the Polish Parliament. For the first time, people living with dementia revealed their faces to convey the message that dementia can affect any of us; they showed that people living with dementia are among us in large numbers—it is estimated that approximately 618,000 people in Poland live with dementia.
Following the exhibition opening, a joint meeting was held by the Parliamentary Team on Central Nervous System Diseases and the Parliamentary Team on Alzheimer’s Disease. Distinguished Polish experts took the floor, including the National Consultant in Neurology, Prof. Bartosz Karaszewski. The discussion was guided by the message that there is a human being behind every diagnosis, and that no one with dementia—nor their loved ones—should be left to manage alone.
