AI-Mind holds its 6th General Assembly Meeting in Zurich

On 16-17 March, the H2020-funded AI-Mind project held its General Assembly Meeting as a hybrid event, bringing together more than 50 on-site participants coming from eight European countries to Zurich, Switzerland and around 20 attendees joining remotely. The project kicked off in March 2021 and aims to facilitate a paradigm shift in clinical practice. AI-Mind will create intelligent digital tools for screening of brain connectivity and dementia risk estimation in people affected by mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Jeanette Müller, CEO of accelopment Schweiz AG (accelCH), kicked off the meeting with a warm welcome to all AI-Mind partners joining the assembly. After a brief introduction, the project coordinator, Ira Haraldsen from Oslo University Hospital (OUS) opened the official part of the meeting with her presentation on the project overview, highlighting the progress made by the consortium. The meeting's agenda included over 15 multidisciplinary presentations from AI-Mind experts and cross-work packages (WPs) meetings.

The agenda also offered two lectures:

• Overview of Eli Lilly neurodegeneration portfolio, Stéphane Epelbaum (Eli Lilly)

• User Trust in AI-Enabled Systems: An HCI Perspective, Tita Alissa Bach and Harry Hallock (DNV).

The second day of the meeting kicked off with an overview of the communication and dissemination (WP7) activities. Joanna Plesniak (accelCH) and Cindy Birck (AE) went towards the Alzheimer Europe Annual Conference to be held on 16-18 October 2023 in Helsinki (Finland). This year’s conference will hold a parallel session on the potential of artificial intelligence for dementia prevention, organised by the AI-Mind Consortium.
