Professor, Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Department of Clinical Neurosciences, "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest
Author of many psychiatry textbooks and more than 100 articles and scientific published papers pub. Her areas of interest include psychopathology and psychopharmacology, psychogeriatry, community care and ethics in psychiatry evidenced by the large number of studies, research grants and multicenter studies she has conducted.
Founding member and president of the Romanian Alzheimer Society, founding member and past president of the Romanian Association of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. She has a special contribution in establishing the first Memory Clinic in Romania, definitively contributing to the early recognition of cognitive disorders in Romania. Member of European expert groups in psychogeriatry and dementia, responsible for the development of educational programs, research and health policies (WHO, EPA, JPND, ELTECA, ALCOVE).
