Online campaign aims to raise awareness of the problem of pain under-diagnosis and under-treatment in dementia

“See pain more clearly” is a campaign aiming to ensure that people affected by dementia, their friends and families, and healthcare professionals working with them are familiar with the problem of pain being under-diagnosed and under-treated in people with dementia. It also aims to familiarise healthcare professionals and policy makers with a number of solutions to the problems faced in this area. The campaign, spearheaded by Dr Thomas Hadjistavropoulos at the University of Regina, Canada, is being carried out on social media using the hashtag #seepainmoreclearly as well as via a website, a web-based survey and an online video.
