Anja Leist (Luxembourg)


Anja Leist is an Associate Professor at the University of Luxembourg, working at the Institute for Research on Socio-Economic Inequality. She received a PhD in Psychology from the University of Trier, Germany, and postgraduate training in Population Health at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Anja has published on the topics of older-age health and cognitive function, technology and aging, and social inequalities from a life course and social epidemiological perspective. In 2014, she was selected by the UK Science and Innovation Network and JPND Europe as Young Leader in the field of dementia. Together with other young leaders from Canada, the U.S., and Europe, she helped to form theWorld Young Leaders in Dementia(WYLD). Anja is Fellow of theGerontological Society of America. In 2018, she received an ERC Starting Grant on the topic of cognitive aging.
