Richard Milne is a sociologist in the Institute of Public Health at the University of Cambridge. His research focusses on the ethical and social implications of developments in neurodegenerative disease research. This includes work within the European Prevention of Alzheimer’s Dementia (EPAD) project related to the disclosure of Alzheimer’s disease risk status, and the implications of new approaches to clinical trials. His work also focusses on the changing nature of research and research participation in an era of ‘big data’.  Dr Milne received his PhD from University College London and has worked at the University of Sheffield, University College London and Birkbeck, University of London.
