Teresa di Fiandra


Teresa di Fiandra is Chief Psychologist of the National Health Service and has been director of several health services in Italy. She is presently working at the Ministry of Health in the General Directorate for Health Prevention, where is in charge for planning in the areas of Mental health, dementia, health in prison and forensic hospitals.

Teresa was officially appointed as the Italian National Counterpart for WHO Europe in the field of mental health (from 2001 to 2003 and from 2004 up to now), she is the Italian Governmental expert to the European Commission for both Mental health and Dementia, as well as member of OECD Mental Health Care Quality Indicators group. She is the Scientific Coordinator of National Research Projects on Mental health, Ageing, Dementia, Drug Dependence. She has been an expert consultant on several  EU projects on Ageing (Forum, ERA-AGE, Eurofamcare).
