Jim Pearson (Honorary Secretary)

Jim Pearson is Alzheimer Scotland's Director of Policy & Research and is currently responsible for all of Alzheimer Scotland's public policy engagement. This includes the involvement of people living with dementia through the Scottish Dementia Working Group and the National Dementia Carers Action Network.

Jim has a background in welfare rights and has a particular interest in promoting and protecting the rights of people living with dementia. He played a significant role in developing Scotland's Charter of Rights for people with dementia and their carers, which puts human and other legal rights at the heart of each commitment of Scotland's first and second dementia strategies.

Jim has recently completed an MBA at Glasgow Caledonian University.
