Anthony Scerri


Mr Anthony Scerri, M.Ger, MHSc.(HSM), B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, Dip.Ger, SRN, graduated in nursing in 1997 from the University of Malta. He worked for 13 years as a staff nurse and a charge nurse in a geriatric rehabilitation ward. He obtained a Master in Gerontology in 2003 and a Master in Health Services Management in 2007.

Mr Scerri is currently an assistant lecturer within the Department of Nursing, University of Malta and teaches care of older persons and rehabilitation.

He was a member of the National Commission on Active Ageing, a committee member of the Malta Dementia Society and a member of the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Group. He is currently following a doctorate on dementia care with a special focus on dementia care training in hospital settings.
