Dianne GOVE (Information Officer)
Dianne GOVE has been working for Alzheimer Europe since 1996, with a short break between 2001 and 2004. After completing an Honours Degree in Psychology, she obtained MAs in Education and Psychoanalysis and then trained as an analytical Gestalt therapist. In 2013, she was awarded a PhD for her research exploring GPs' perceptions of dementia and how these relate to stigma and timely diagnosis.
She has worked on a wide range of topics covering care, legislation, advance directives and social support. In the last few years, she has chaired working groups which have produced guidelines on the ethical use of assistive technology, dementia research and restrictions of freedom. She is currently chair of the ethics working group exploring perceptions and the portrayal of dementia, and is project leader of the good incontinence care at home project.
