Brian Simpson is a Member of the European Parliament from the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.
He currently has the position of Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, Member of the Conference of Committee Chairs and is a Substitute on the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development.
In his contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority he :
- joined the European Alzheimer's Alliance in 2008,
- signed EP Written Declaration 80/2008 on the priorities in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
