McGuinness Mairead (Member)

Mairead McGuinness is a Member of the European Parliament from the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats). She was elected Vice-Chairwoman of the Group on 16 April 2013.
She currently sits on the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and is a substitute on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety.
In her contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority she :
- joined the European Alzheimer's Alliance in September 2009,
- signed EP Written Declaration 80/2008 on the priorities in the fight against Alzheimer's disease,
- attended the opening of the exhibition on Alzheimer's disease in the European Parliament and signed the Paris Declaration in 2007.
