Kyllönen Merja (Member)

In the run-up to the European Parliament elections in May 2014, Merja Kyllönen, MEP (GUE/NGL, Finland) signed Alzheimer Europe's European Dementia Pledge, thus becoming a member of the EAA and affirming her support for greater EU collaboration on dementia.
Ms Kyllönen sits on the Transport and Tourism Committee. She is a substitute on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee.
In her contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority she:
- signed EP Written Declaration 27/2016 to make dementia a top priority of the EU
- signed European Parliament Written Declaration 57/2015 calling for European Alzheimer’s disease strategy
- signed the Glasgow Declaration on 11 March 2015.
- Joined the EAA in 2014.
