Nikolaos Chountis is a Member of the European Parliament from the Confederal Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left.
He currently is a member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and a substitute on the Committee of Foreign Affairs.
In his contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority he :
- joined the European Alzheimer's Alliance in April 2010.
