Young carers to receive support from Scottish government

Public Health Minister, Shona Robison, announced an investment of GBP 200,000 in order to give extra support to young carers. The money is being given to the Princess Royal Trust for Carers to back three projects:

1. Help for primary school teachers to identify children who are carers and offer them the right support
2. A specialist worker to promote the mental health and wellbeing of young carers across Scotland
3. Support for young carers to access training or employment.
