Dianne Gove is Information Officer at Alzheimer Europe. After working in the field of banking and innovation and at the European Commission, she joined Alzheimer Europe in 1996. She has an Honours Degree in Psychology, MAs in Education and Psychoanalysis and is a qualified Analytical Gestalt therapist.
Since joining the organisation in 1996, she has been in charge of several projects including a European care manual, recommendations on advance directives, “Lawnet” (an inventory of legislation relating to the rights and protection of people with dementia), a care manual for both carers and people in the early stages of dementia and guidelines on good end-of-life care. She is now working on updating the original Lawnet reports, drafting reports for additional countries not involved in the first study and coordinating the European Dementia Ethics Network. For the EuroCoDe project, she was the work package leader of the group responsible for making an inventory of the different social support systems for people with dementia and carers in Europe.
