Maria Eleni Koppa is a Member of the European Parliament from the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.
She currently is a Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Subcommittee on Security and Defence, and a Substitute on the Committee on Transport and Tourism and Subcommittee on Human Rights.
In her contributions to Alzheimer Europe's campaign to make dementia a European priority she :
- participated in an interview in May 2009 for Alzheimer Europe's Dementia in Europe magazine,
- sent a representative to the Greek Alzheimer's Society symposium in February 2008,
- signed EP Written Declaration 80/2008 on the priorities in the fight against Alzheimer's disease,
- joined the Alliance in 2007 and signed the Paris Declaration.
