The consultation period for Northern Ireland's first dementia strategy ended in September 2010. The Alzheimer’s Society participated in the consultation. In November 2010 a summary of responses to the consultation were published by the Department of Health Social Services and Public Safety entitled "Improving Dementia Services" but the strategy, which was due to be published before May 2011 (when the Assembly elections took place) has not yet been published.
